Job Summary:

As a member of the Credit Platform Data team at PayPal, your role as a Data Engineer will focus on crafting robust tools for data processing and management, helping internal business units effectively utilize data. You will design, build, and maintain efficient data integration and ETL processes, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Work closely with product managers and analysts to understand and meet data requirements.
  • Maintain data integrity through automated checks and validation processes.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to data processing issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest in data processing technology and implement best practices.
  • Engage in continuous learning and improvement of development practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, with strong skills in SQL and Python.
  • Proficiency in data processing tools like PySpark and Pandas.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in optimizing large-scale data systems.
