Join UBDS Group as a Data Engineer

UBDS Group is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of our Data and AI services. You will work closely with clients, adhere to data engineering best practices, and take responsibility for the design and development of client data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data platform solutions, including data storage and ETL pipelines for analytics or ML.
• Create and maintain data models, integration, and pipeline monitoring. Implement best practices and suitable architectures for clients' needs, encompassing greenfield projects as well as migration and modernization projects.
• Identify opportunities for reusable components and lead their development, maintenance, and sharing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Cloud Architects, Scrum Masters, BAs, and Partner technical representatives (Databricks, Microsoft, AWS) to ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with organizational standards.
• Support technical pre-sales by guiding client requirements for proposals, technical approaches, and timeframes.
• Enhance our partnerships with technology vendors by taking relevant certifications and building relationships with teams like Databricks product team and solutions architects.
• Contribute to marketing events, thought leadership articles, and possibly present at conferences and webinars.

About You

• Constantly seek to understand and apply industry best practices and technologies relevant to clients.
• Recognize when to ask for help or collaborate with SMEs.
• Confident in designing, developing, and maintaining data platforms and ETL solutions in regulated industries.
• Knowledge of all stages of the data lifecycle and application of DataOps principles to manage pipeline testing, deployment, integration, and monitoring.
• Expertise in data modeling, including developing low-level designs and implementing models using patterns like Inmon, Kimball, and Data Vault.
• Proficient in Databricks, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Unity Catalog best practices, with experience in Azure and/or AWS.
• Experienced with handling sensitive data (e.g., health or financial) and applying security, ethics, and privacy best practices.
