Transferz is looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our Product/IT department. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in constructing a scalable data warehousing structure.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our product/IT teams to streamline data warehousing, develop data models, and assist business analysts in creating visualizations that provide insights into KPIs and product performance.

Our ideal candidate has a deep analytical background and is proficient in SQL. Knowledge of Python is a plus. We’re also looking for someone with experience in querying and modeling relational databases, as well as Google BigQuery or other Cloud-based data warehouses. Strong data visualization skills are also required for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Develop and sustain data models and databases
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs
• Provide data-driven suggestions to enhance product performance
• Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in analytics

Requirements

• You have approximately 2+ years of work experience in a similar role
• You have excellent SQL skills (Google BigQuery / PostgreSQL are a plus)
• You have data visualization skills
• You have experience with dashboard tools (Looker or similar BI tools) and relational database modeling
• You have strong analytical and good problem-solving skills
• You are empathetic, curious, and have a data mindset for understanding and addressing complex issues
• You have an affinity with statistics and hence an understanding when analysis or models are significant (CI, distributions, and distance measures)
