As a Data Engineer I at Kroll, your role is pivotal in delivering solutions to our clients' most complex governance, risk, and transparency challenges. This is your chance to be part of a team that values sharp minds and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in Scrum teams of data & analytics engineers to build, manage, and support advanced data and analytics infrastructure.
- Develop capabilities around data engineering including foundational data assets creation, data engineering pipelines, and data platform initiatives.
- Ensure accurate delivery of business unit and internal data through the Kroll Connected Ecosystem.
- Build cross-functional relationships that bolster understanding of product needs and improve data operations company-wide.
- Guide the adoption of new data products and platforms to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the development of scalable and fault-tolerant data pipelines for large-scale datasets integration across various platforms.
- Contribute to the establishment of an enterprise-level data strategy and governance.
- Oversee cross-functional global teams in high-paced project environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience, including hands-on experience setting up enterprise-level data lakes.
- Proficiency in cloud-based data solutions like Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and big data technologies.
- Expertise in data architecture, modern data warehousing, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience with analytic and BI tools such as Qlik and PowerBI, coupled with practical knowledge in stream and batch processing technologies.
- Proficient in applying scientific methods to extract insights from financial datasets and strong familiarity with financial valuation methodologies.
Desired Skills
- Robust experience with ETL/ELT processes in cloud environments, particularly with Python, PySpark, and Scala.
- Practical experience in continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- In-depth knowledge of database design, both relational and non-relational, and multiple SQL dialects.
