About Our Team

DEX, Kotak Bank's central data organization, is expanding! We manage the complete data experience through our three main charters: Data Platform, Data Engineering, and Data Governance. We are assembling a top-tier team to transform our on-premise solutions into a scalable AWS cloud-based platform, creating best-in-class data lake house solutions. This is a chance to build from scratch and shape the future of banking technology.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will involve:

• Leading crucial business decisions with technical insights and team management.
• Designing and supporting a brand-new data infrastructure.
• Managing AWS resources, including EC2, EMR, and Redshift.
• Building and maintaining efficient data pipelines and ensuring the data integration across multiple platforms.
• Collaborating with data scientists and BI engineers to uphold best practices.
• Automating processes to enhance data accessibility and analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in AWS technologies and data pipeline tools like Airflow and Spark.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of advanced AWS cloud technologies and data processing systems.
• Experience within the Indian Banking or Fintech sectors.
• Experience in designing and operating scalable data infrastructures.
• Ability to handle large datasets and implement complex data warehousing solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
