About the Role
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Platform team. This team is integral to our business, enabling data collection and analysis across the organization to provide critical insights that drive informed decision-making for our Sales and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Enterprise Data Strategy defined by the company.
- Analyze, design, develop, and deploy ETL solutions using dbt, Snowflake, and Prefect, as well as Microsoft BI Suite for legacy support.
- Contribute to our ongoing migration to the Cloud, ensuring data quality in the Data Lake.
- Develop, package, and deliver new service offerings related to Data and Business Intelligence.
- Collaborate with management, data platform architect, report developers, project managers, and product managers to meet data and information requirements.
- Participate in testing methodology and criteria to ensure high-quality data output.
Qualifications
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to mentor and be mentored, with a willingness to adapt and improve.
- Maintain and develop data pipelines, Tableau Extracts, and other data development requests.
- Ensure quality data output through rigorous Self-QA processes.
- Solid understanding of logical and physical models, including Kimball methodology.
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of experience with data analysis and building ELT/ETL solutions.
- 3-5 years of experience with ELT/ETL and cloud data warehousing methodologies and tools (Snowflake, dbt, and Prefect preferred).
- 3-5 years of SQL experience, writing medium to complex queries.
- Experience with reporting-database integration using APIs and processing data on various database platforms.
- Experience with software design practices, relational databases, and data-driven reporting applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building data pipelines using Python.
- Experience with Prefect as an orchestration tool.
- Experience with building and/or using a semantic or metric layer.
- Knowledge of the Kimball Methodology.
Compensation
Our pay structure considers the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer an annual salary range of $79,800--$216,600, depending on location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level, and experience.
