What You Will Do

  • Possess, prototype, and implement customer solutions
  • Study and prototype data acquisition strategy for scientific lab equipment
  • Study and prototype file parsers for instrument output files (.xlsx, .pdf, .txt, .raw, .fid, plus other vendor binaries)
  • Design and construct data models
  • Design and construct Python data pipelines, unit tests, integration tests, and utility functions
  • Conduct internal project post-mortems to identify areas of improvement for the next implementation

Requirements

What You Have Done

  • 4+ years of Python and SQL experience
  • Passionate about science and creating solutions to make data more accessible to end-users
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry, biology, computer science, statistics, public health, etc.
  • Wet lab experience or experience with scientific instruments is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to details, and the confidence to steer project delivery
  • A quick grasp of a highly technical product and the ability to communicate effectively with product management and engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Intellectually curious with an unwavering desire to learn and know more every day
  • Ability to think innovatively about handling project risks without sacrificing quality
  • Team player attitude and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and do whatever it takes to ensure the team's success
