Purpose of the Data Engineer Intern Role

This internship at our Site and Planning Suite provides a hands-on learning experience in complex programs involving the merger of various IQVIA datasets and products. You will collaborate closely with machine learning experts to develop cutting-edge AI programs, and play a critical role in creating and upgrading Datawarehouses and transitioning applications to innovative platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Adopting and promoting best practices for data collection, analysis, and preparation.
• Designing and conducting experiments to validate hypotheses and enhance model functionalities.
• Formulating ETL pipelines and writing advanced SQL queries for data manipulation and retrieval.
• Developing and refining algorithms with tools such as R, Python, C++, or Java.
• Automating data pipelines through modern, cloud-based platforms.
• Generating comprehensive design documents and undertaking unit test documentation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
• Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s Degree program, with a keen interest in Algorithms and Data Analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, adept in report writing and technical documentation.

Salary and Benefits

The potential salary range for this internship role is $31,900.00 to $53,100.00 annually, which may vary based on qualifications, location, and other factors. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation forms such as bonuses and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
