Position Overview: Data Engineer (IP-Based Operational Communications) - Mid

Far Ridgeline Engagements LLC, a QinetiQ US Company, is currently seeking a skilled Data Engineer focused on IP-Based Operational Communications to join our team supporting a US Department of Defense Client in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Manage account creation and provisioning of cloud-based machines for various communications.
• Clearly communicate and manage time effectively.
• Troubleshoot connections and user accounts.
• Maintain and manage multiple telephone systems, including provisioning of machines and telephones.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of VoIP networking systems and virtual PBX systems such as Open PBX or Asterisk Server.
• Experience with SIP and Mobile Voice Network infrastructure.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Cloud Virtual Private Networks (VPCs) with internal and external IP routing.
• Skilled in updating automation and configuration scripts in Python, JSON, and Terraform.
• Experience in troubleshooting Virtual Desktops and file servers for storage and connectivity issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM degree program, or 4 years of equivalent experience as a Cloud SysOps Engineer.
• Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly, or the ability to obtain poly prior to the start date #qinetiqclearedjob.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly.
• Working knowledge of internet security protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
