The Healthjump delivery data engineers at Datavant are experts in data ETL. We establish and uphold integrations for more than 60 EHRs, catering to all conceivable patient use cases. Our team consists of proactive individuals who operate remotely within matrixed, agile teams that serve our customers from launch to support for the lifespan of the integration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining ELT/ETL processes for new and existing systems
- Collaborating with business and development teams to comprehend requirements and define data flows from source systems
- Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT specifications for data integration development
- Establishing and executing consistent data modeling and architecture standards, methodologies, guidelines, and techniques
- Documenting and maintaining the data pipeline architecture and related business processes
- Being a source of industry practices and processes knowledge
- Taking part in the development of enterprise standards and guidelines for data model quality and accuracy
- Auditing project-level data model quality deliverables to ensure compliance with practices and standards
- Analyzing information and data requirements as well as understanding the impact of data inconsistencies
- Identifying inefficiencies in current architecture and processes, and communicating solutions that receive support from the teams involved
- Performing cost and size estimates for projects
- Collaborating with the project coordinator and the rest of the agile team to identify epics, stories, and estimate effort
- Creating and maintaining data dictionary documents, table models, data lineage, and producing artifacts to support project development and relay project information to customers
Requirements for the role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering degree
What you should ideally bring to the team:
- Proficiency in SQL and Python languages
- Experience using Airflow
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare data
- Knowledge of clinical systems (like Cerner, Epic, Meditech, etc.) and familiarity with Acute/Ambulatory workflows
- Preferred AWS Cloud Practitioner or higher level certification
