The Swift Group is actively seeking a skilled Data Engineer to leverage cutting-edge technology and provide robust operational support, delivering actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. This pivotal role involves the integration of both front-end and back-end technologies to ensure mission success and data availability.

Job Location:

Chantilly, VA

Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer at The Swift Group, you will:

• Support front-end development services for mission-critical data.
• Apply the latest technology to deliver actionable intelligence.
• Develop and maintain data flows using NiFi, Pentaho, or Spark.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant ETL experience.
• 2+ years of experience with NoSQL data stores.
• Experience building and maintaining data flows in NiFi, Pentaho, or Spark.
• Bachelor's degree or five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Big Data Technologies (e.g., Hadoop or Spark).
• Proficiency in programming languages: Java/J2EE, SQL, XML, XQuery, XPath, Python, Shell Scripting, JSON.
• Knowledge of various server operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Distributed Computing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of database methodologies.
• Focus on continuous process improvement with a proactive problem-solving approach.
