Data Engineer - Manager

Who we are looking for We are looking for a Data Engineer who will be responsible for research, proposing solutions and evaluating multiple options. This professional will drive the team to agree on a solution for the BIONICS Team, which is part of the Enterprise Data Strategy services. What you will be responsible for As a Data Engineer you will: - Be a part of BIONICS (Legacy PXO) team working on Big Data components for data migration projects. - Involve in data migration projects where you will partake in core development, maintenance and daily support activities - Participate in daily stand ups, iteration planning, product demos and retrospective meetings - Review, analyze, and develop complex application architecture/design - Be eager to learn new tools and technologies, and be able to work independently What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role: - More than 7 years hands-on experience developing applications using Java, Python, Spark - More than 3 years hands-on experience developing applications using Big Data components and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), with exposure to DevOps - Experience with Query Languages like SQL, HIVE & IMPALA. - Strong exposure to Data Engineering workflows/frameworks with Visualization (Tableau) - Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage deliverables Education & Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in related field - 5+ years development experience in Java, Python, Spark, Big Data & Cloud platform Azure. Additional requirements - Must be willing to work hours that allow for morning overlap with Boston and cross teams globally.
