Location and Flexibility

Work at our São Paulo or Porto Alegre office at least three days a week, while enjoying the flexibility to work remotely for two days. Our office culture emphasizes in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection, supporting both local and visiting team members from our global offices.

The Opportunity: Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our expanding Data Science team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines to ensure efficient data integration, storage, and processing. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain data quality and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize scalable, high-performance, secure, and reliable data pipelines.
• Enhance internal processes and implement automation to streamline tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers, promoting their professional growth.
• Ensure data quality, supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Assist project managers in prioritizing and planning development tasks.
• Provide constructive feedback and share expertise with team members.
• Engage in ongoing research and adoption of new technologies and best practices.
• Commit to accessibility and positively impact others with your work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience in technology-related fields such as BI, Software, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience in designing and developing data architectures.
• Proficiency in developing and optimizing data pipelines.
• Experience with databases, data modeling, and SQL.
• Effective English communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language such as Python or Scala.
• Strong team interaction and independent task management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
