Position Summary: Data Engineer

Caremark, L.L.C., a subsidiary of CVS Health, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team in High Point, NC. In this role, you will design, build, and manage large-scale data structures and pipelines to support our business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for reporting and insights.
• Write Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Science teams to transform data and integrate algorithms into automated processes.
• Leverage Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and optimized queries to build efficient data pipelines.
• Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to create robust data pipelines and dynamic systems.
• Build data marts and models to support Data Science and other internal stakeholders.
• Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accessibility standards.
• Analyze current IT environments to identify critical capabilities and recommend solutions.
• Experiment with and advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions for specific use cases.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in data analysis, especially within retail and/or healthcare industries.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or R.
• Experience with SAS or SQL programming languages.
• Proficiency with databases such as Oracle, Teradata, or DB2.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Range: $96,242.00/year to $126,000.00/year. The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors including experience, education, and geographic location.
