Job Description

As a Data Engineer at SQLI, you will be part of a SCRUM team focusing on a specific functional area. Your role includes contributing to various data projects by utilizing your expertise in the following tasks:

• Participating in the completion of all business projects
• Handling requests for corrections from incidents or anomalies
• Engaging in self-learning and skill enhancement within the development team
• Adhering to best development practices and standards
• Implementing "devops" methods
• Assisting in the estimation of work and forming part of the release planning process
• Contributing to the automation of delivery processes
• Developing and documenting code
• Collaborating within a SCRUM team (including Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Support)

Required Qualifications

• Experience in distributed Big Data systems architecture
• Proficiency in Scala/Java (required experience in at least one)
• Knowledge of the Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Apache Kafka, Avro, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment and orchestration tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, etc.)
• Understanding of fundamental Kafka concepts
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, BigTable, etc.)
• Familiarity with search engines (Elastic Search, etc.)
