Join Our Team as a Data Engineer for Cloud Data Lake Activities!

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a focus on Cloud Data Lake activities. The ideal candidate should have robust industry experience, preferably in Financial Services, supporting enterprise applications and working with cloud-based database engineering platforms.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end Cloud Data Lake design and development, including data ingestion, data modeling, and data distribution.
  • Building data integrations between on-premise and cloud-based systems.
  • Designing and developing high-volume data ingestion components and solutions to collect data from various sources.
  • Managing and utilizing appropriate tools in cloud data lake development and deployment.
  • Developing and implementing cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs.
  • Participating in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
  • Ensuring all cloud solutions exhibit high cost efficiency, performance, security, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • Development experience in designing, developing, and deploying complex applications.
  • Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS and coding in Python, Java, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data migration on AWS using Databricks and maintaining cloud-based database systems.
  • Experience in building systems using modern, scalable, cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience in Data Modeling and database design with strong performance tuning skills.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up data pipelines for ETL jobs across multiple data sources.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Security in AWS/Azure, specifically IAM Roles & Policies, Security Groups, and Encryption keys.
  • Expertise in optimizing database performance, scalability, and ensuring data security and compliance.
  • Proficiency with event-based, micro-batch, and high-velocity, high-volume transaction and data processing systems.
  • Competence in CICD and DevOps practices.

Education & Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $115,000 Annual

The quoted range applies to the primary location specified. Should the candidate work outside this primary location, the applicable range might differ.
