Job Description

As a Data Engineer, you’ll be tasked with designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems. Your expertise will help drive complex data warehousing projects focused on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets to transform information into actionable insights using Power BI. This role involves:

• Ensuring systems meet both business requirements and industry practices by incorporating new data management technologies and software engineering tools.
• Developing strong data pipelines employing best practice ETL processes.
• Effectively utilizing Azure cloud services to deploy and maintain robust data infrastructure.
• Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and architects to ensure optimal delivery architecture across projects.
• Engaging with stakeholders and team members to address data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Creating high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes using Python and PySpark.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, with 3-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Deep understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency in using Azure Databricks and other Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse.
• Extensive knowledge of ETL tools and data warehousing solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to effectively collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information.
• Experience in using Power BI and other visualization tools to derive insights from raw data.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate and Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional are required.
