Rhombus Power Inc., a pioneering force in the defense and global security sector, is looking for a Data Engineer to join our cross-disciplinary team in Palo Alto, CA. Our innovative Artificial Intelligence platform, Guardian, is transforming strategic decision-making processes at a global scale, ensuring operational excellence and superior decision-making capabilities for our clients.

About the Role:

As a Data Engineer at Rhombus, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing critical data engineering activities on projects that bolster our national security agenda. You’ll engage in building and maintaining sophisticated data infrastructures and processing systems, thereby driving actionable insights and achieving operational superiority for our clients.

This position will involve travel to client sites in Honolulu, HI; Omaha, NE; and Colorado Springs, CO, with the frequency of travel depending on business needs. Responsibilities include developing code using various programming languages, architecting data repositories, and collaborating with a multifaceted team to manage data-related projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and automate data ingestion and management processes using programming and scripting languages.
• Design and set up data platforms and pipelines for effective data transformation and aggregation.
• Analyze raw data from multiple sources to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders in a dynamic, agile environment.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of leadership regarding project status and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of one year of professional experience; or a Master’s degree with relevant project experience.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with other programming languages such as Java, C++, or Scala.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and building ETL data pipelines.
• Knowledge of AWS and other cloud technologies, along with machine learning frameworks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
