Role: Data Engineer

Your skills are crucial to our mission. We are looking for a Data Engineer who will:

• Build, develop, and maintain internal data cubes/schemas, data architecture, reporting systems, and data automation for Digital Analytics.
• Ensure effective ETL processes for large datasets and oversee the back-end design and delivery of analytical reports and insights.
• Assist in data discovery, data mapping, and data testing within Hadoop and various source systems.
• Manage and maintain ETL processes developed using SQL and deployed in a Linux environment.
• Collaborate with analysts and data engineers from other teams to fulfill ad hoc data requests from stakeholders.
• Optimize joint development efforts in enriching Hadoop's database across various departments.
• Perform business analysis for specified tasks and datasets.
• Work closely with other Digital Analytics team members to optimize company data systems and pipeline architecture, enhancing overall efficiency.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong SQL background (MySQL, Hive, Impala, etc.).
• Experience generating and maintaining ETL scripts using SQL and Linux platforms.
• Experience supporting and monitoring ETL workflows.
• Understanding of various data structures and data transformation methods.
• Possess a "can-do attitude" and willingness to expand knowledge in data science/analytics.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• At least 3 years of related experience in SQL and Linux platforms.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge in Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem and Oozie.
• Experience in Python.
• Knowledge of ETL Cloud tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
• Experience working closely with analysts and business stakeholders.
• General knowledge of handling and fixing issues in production environments (Linux).
• Experience working across different time zones (shifting schedule availability).
