As a Data Engineer for Planning & Analysis, you will be reporting to the Vice President of Planning & Analysis. Your tasks will consist of building and retaining Mission Cloud's internal data lake as well as the data connections to Mission Cloud's Business Intelligence Platform. You'll collaborate with several departments to understand data sources, reporting needs, and business problems. Your technical expertise will simplify and automate reporting and data analysis requirements for teams at Mission Cloud. This role is fully remote. Responsibilities - Build and maintain Mission Cloud’s internal data lake - Establish connections from the data lake to business intelligence tools, including Amazon Quicksight - Configure AWS services to support ETL and data warehousing - Build and maintain the process for syncing the data lake with Amazon Quicksight - Create operational efficiencies and improve data governance by establishing a singular data access point and source of truth for Mission Cloud - Build repeatable, efficient processes to help teams at Mission Cloud become self-sufficient and able to accurately measure, monitor, and forecast their key performance indicators (KPIs) - Assist in the creation of data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate key business insights and tell a meaningful story Requirements - Ability to work in a business intelligence / data engineering role, preferably in the technology industry - Design & implementation experience with distributed applications - Experience in database architectures and data pipeline development - Ability to handle unstructured, and semi-structured data, working in a data lake environment - Experience building data lakes in Redshift - Expertise in designing and implementing AWS-based solutions, including services like Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Lambda, AWS Athena, AWS QuickSight, and more - Have knowledge of Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field - An AWS Certification is required within 6 months of hire.
