Job Description

The IFS Labs team is looking for dynamic and open-minded individuals to join us as Power BI Data Engineers, to work on ESG-related Developments in the Power Platform.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Labs team, helping to bring innovation to life. The product area is Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) where you will have the chance to develop products designed to assist companies in achieving their sustainability goals and reporting their progress according to international standards. The product is currently in the incubation stage, providing a unique opportunity to work on customer-centric, iterative product development.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI. In this role, you will take on a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and analytics solutions using Power BI. You will ensure the availability, reliability, and accuracy of data while creating visually stunning and insightful reports and dashboards.

More specifically, the role involves:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Power BI.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to comprehend data requirements and translate them into efficient data models and visualisations.
• Building and optimising data models in Power BI to support complex analytical queries and reporting needs.
• Implementing data governance and data quality best practices to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting data issues, ensuring timely resolution and proactive identification of potential bottlenecks
• Staying updated with the latest Power BI features, tools, and best practices to continuously improve data analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent professional qualification

Desirable:

• Prior experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Analytical and Reporting skills (Power BI) would be advantageous
• Data engineering certification
• Tenacity with a passion to get the job done
• Strong experience in data engineering and designing data solutions using Power BI
• Proficiency in developing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data transformation using Power Query and M languages
• In-depth understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and SQL
• Familiarity with data modelling, data integration, and data governance principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to convert complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
