Data Engineer Role Overview:

Exiger is on the lookout for a skilled Data Engineer to enhance our product offerings and deliver sophisticated data solutions. This role involves collaboration with our product management and engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and tailored data integrations for our clients. As a key player in our team, you will drive both customer and internal project efficiencies, consult on our technology roadmap, and stay at the forefront of new technology trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute efficient data pipelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and ensure smooth data ingestion into our data warehouses.
• Employ infrastructure as code principles using tools like Terraform to automate data infrastructure management.
• Guarantee data integrity and consistency through robust data quality checks throughout the data lifecycle.
• Optimize database schemas and data models for better scalability and performance.
• Create and refine SQL queries to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Support the deployment and ongoing monitoring of data pipelines in production settings.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and infrastructure automation.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with database concepts including both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, and other major DBMSes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Prior experience or knowledge of Terraform and other infrastructure as code tools is beneficial.
• Ability to secure a security clearance, with a preference for those who already possess it.
• Familiarity with Git BitBucket, SOA, microservices, message queuing, RDBMS, RESTful services, and other APIs is helpful.
