We're excited to invite applications for the role of Data Engineer at Freetrade's London office. As a company at the forefront of democratizing investment, Freetrade is dedicated to making investing accessible and straightforward for everyone. With over 1.6 million registered users in the UK and plans to expand across the EU in 2024, we're looking for a skilled Data Engineer to help us enhance our services and reach more users.

Role Description

As a Data Engineer at Freetrade, you will:

• Build and maintain pipelines that optimize our data utility, mainly utilizing our Kubernetes cluster and Python coding within Dagster for orchestration.
• Model essential data within our BigQuery data warehouse.
• Advance our capabilities in testing, alerting, and quality monitoring to strengthen data reliability.
• Develop and deploy robust data infrastructure using Terraform+Atlantis and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with our Product and Engineering teams, enhancing data quality and operational efficiency.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Robust knowledge of Python and SQL.
• A track record of developing clean, testable, high-quality code.
• Experience in data warehousing and constructing effective data pipelines.
• Proven ability to build and deploy data-driven applications, preferably on Google Cloud.
• Experience integrating data from diverse sources such as relational and NoSQL databases, APIs, and cloud storage.
• Deep understanding of data protection, security, and privacy best practices.
