About the Data Engineering Role

Our Data Engineering teams play a crucial role in managing, updating, and analyzing massive datasets from diverse global sources including scientific publications and clinical trials. As a Data Engineer, you will develop sophisticated pipelines and systems to keep our data fresh and actionable, using advanced technologies within an AWS cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze vast amounts of data to enhance product features related to data transformation and analytics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and manage deployment applications, ensuring optimal performance.
• Be the go-to expert for Real World Evidence data, representing it both internally and externally.
• Drive the technical strategy and improve the architecture to ensure scalability and effective application across the technology stack.
• Work closely with the Insights/AI team to integrate knowledge into our data and AI/ML platforms.

What We Look For

You are a tech-savvy professional with hands-on experience in ETL methodologies, Python (PySpark), Java, Scala, and data processing frameworks like Spark Streaming and Kafka. Your proactive management skills and deep understanding of data structures and algorithms will help propel our projects to success.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in big data engineering and AWS product deployment.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Scala, and other programming languages supporting large scale data operations.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and databases like PostgreSQL.
• Experience using Git, JIRA, and CircleCI for software management.
• Ability to perform in-depth analysis to improve processes and identify opportunities.
