About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to become a valuable member of our team. Your primary mission will be to construct a scalable and flexible data platform that aligns with the diverse needs of our business units. Collaborating within an international, mainly remote team, you will occasionally travel to our business units.
Purpose and Mission
As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include the maintenance and optimization of our infrastructure, overseeing data transfers and transformations, and industrializing models and algorithms on our platform, NNDAP. You'll work hand-in-hand with our development teams to ensure our data platform consistently meets our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, optimize, and provide advice on our infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS, Informatika) and technology stack.
- Oversee the industrialization of models and algorithms in collaboration with Lead Insurance Analyst and Lead Data Scientist, ensuring effective implementation of analytics solutions in our business units.
- Support data model implementation on a case-by-case basis.
- Provide guidance on data quality actions, safeguarding privacy and security compliant with GDPR.
- Assist data scientists with data preparation, transformation, and code optimization.
- Continuously update technical and statistical knowledge at the Data Science Hub through innovation and research.
- Foster a positive vibe and enthusiasm within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
- Experience working with multiple international business units.
- Proficient in common data management and extraction tools and codes (e.g., SQL, Python, SSIS).
- Experience in setting up and maintaining a DWH/datalake in AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js.
- Skilled in extracting various data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured, and streaming data).
- Able to design efficient data pipelines and libraries.
- Capable of building advanced database structures and data marts.
- Knowledgeable about GDPR regulations.
