Job Description:

The Data Engineer works closely with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and success criteria for the Data and Integration COE. By partnering with technical and product teams, the candidate will deliver comprehensive solutions to meet our evolving global digital business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine business needs, document requirements, and configure data products accordingly.
• Drive data projects to achieve results and meet deadlines.
• Diagnose and track issues and problems.
• Provide business use analysis as needed.
• Interpret vendor documentation and write detailed user stories that describe user needs or program functions.
• Deliver functional specifications, design documents, business process workflow, and related documentation for new data projects and enhancement requests.
• Develop test cases and test data.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression test plans for new functionality, product releases, and enhancements.
• Ensure programs meet business specifications and support activations and rollouts.
• Define deliverable content and secure buy-in from business and digital leadership.
• Align with other Digital project teams to standardize and enforce common policies across Carrier.
• Work closely with data architects to ensure best practice paradigms and provide impact assessments and solution recommendations as needed.

Experience:

• 4 years of practical experience with data tools like Snowflake, SQL/Oracle databases, and documentation practices.
• Familiarity with agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, particularly those scalable at the enterprise level.
• Experience with Python and the ability to automate CI/CD pipelines and function extensions.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
