Join Forseven: Data Engineer Opportunity

Forseven, a pioneering company revolutionizing the electric vehicle (EV) industry with cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is on the lookout for an exceptional Data Engineer. This critical role will be based in a hybrid capacity from one of our offices near Leamington Spa or Shalford (near Guildford).

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer at Forseven, you will be pivotal in delivering data products to support a wide array of business needs. Collaborating with our Data Architect, you will assume responsibility for implementing and managing data solutions within our cloud infrastructure. Your key tasks will include:

• Creating and maintaining data pipelines
• Managing storage solutions
• Data processing and modeling
• Enabling data to support effective decision making

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass:

• Collaborating with the Data Architect to deliver data solutions aligned with our overall strategy
• Ensuring the success of enterprise-level application data architecture across various business areas (e.g., CRM, PLM, ERP, Aftersales/Dealer Management, Finance & HRIS)
• Managing data acquisition and integration for Azure Data Lake, utilizing Azure Data Bricks, ADF, and third-party tools as needed
• Developing and implementing key components to create testing criteria that guarantee the fidelity and performance of data architecture
• Working closely with project managers and business unit leaders on all projects involving enterprise data

Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Experience managing and delivering SQL Server solutions, including Azure SQL, with a strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices
• A few years' experience in implementing and delivering Azure solutions for ETL/ELT, Lambda, and Kappa architectures
• Experience establishing change data capture (CDC) solutions where source systems do not support this
• Technical knowledge of applications and platforms including Azure, AWS, SAP & Salesforce
• Expertise in repository creation and data/information system life cycle methodologies
• Experience designing and delivering analytical solutions (e.g., Data Warehousing, Business Analytics, Statistics, and Machine Learning)
