Data Engineer – TS/SCI

Xcelerate Solutions is actively seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) under our comprehensive 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, maintain, and monitor data pipelines for both R&D prototypes and production environments.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including development, product, and QA.
• Conduct database builds, installations, configurations, administration, and troubleshooting (e.g., MariaDB/MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Qdrant, Milvus).
• Perform data integrity checks utilizing best practices in data engineering.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for databases, data pipelines, data dictionaries, and system diagrams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional years of experience can replace educational requirements).
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, FAISS, Milvus, Qdrant).
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Argocd, Metaflow, Kubeflow.
• Experience with DevOps/MLOps using CI/CD methodologies and cloud-native deployment paradigms.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance with the potential to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong background in database design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Skilled in data profiling techniques and understanding data quality from a business perspective.
• Experience in evaluating data quality and accuracy.
• Agile methodologies familiarity.
• Python development experience.
• Expertise in data model development, modification, migration, and maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience supporting data teams and data scientists.
• Prior experience on production/enterprise systems.
• Experience in air-gapped environments.
• Application development and deployment in an AWS environment.
• AWS certifications.
