European Technology Hub in Galway

This hub plays a key role in RTR’s development, focusing on Software Engineering, Product Development, Machine Learning Engineering, and Data Science.

Role Overview: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer in our dynamic team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data systems. This role allows you to collaborate with skilled colleagues while working on diverse technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using tools like dbt, Python, and Prefect.
• Optimize data processing infrastructure and storage solutions.
• Work closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand and implement their data requirements.
• Ensure the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy.
• Create thorough documentation for data architecture, models, and processes.

Who You Are:

You bring at least 3 years of experience in a data-focused role, with expert SQL abilities and proficiency in Python. Your experience spans dbt for data transformation, workflow orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow, and cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or BigQuery. A curious learner and an effective communicator, you are adept at understanding and translating tech solutions to non-tech audiences.
