Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining a robust data infrastructure aligned with business needs.
  • Developing tools and APIs to simplify access to data analytics.
  • Deploying machine learning models to enhance business decision-making.
  • Promoting data security and crafting policies to safeguard information.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants should have advanced SQL skills, familiarity with cloud services, and a proven track record in managing large data sets and building scalable data pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the energy sector and a graduate degree in a relevant quantitative discipline are preferred. Proficiency in using modern data management tools like Hadoop, Spark, and various cloud platforms is advantageous.

Work Environment & Conditions

This position requires a hybrid work setup based in San Diego County, with occasional local travel. Full vaccination for COVID-19 is mandatory for all employees.

Compensation

Salary Range: $87,900 - $110,400, based on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, a generous retirement plan, and ample paid time off.
