Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer at Rockpool, you'll tackle diverse challenges:

  • Working closely with stakeholders to model business objectives into precise data models.
  • Spotting opportunities for data acquisition and generating insightful data usage.
  • Developing reporting tools that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Constructing robust data systems and pipelines using advanced development tools.
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance and data compliance frameworks.
  • Providing expert technical support for our existing data platforms.

Who We're Looking For:

We expect high standards across our teams, and you should have:

  • Solid experience in database interrogation, querying, and analysis using SQL Server.
  • A history of architecting, building, testing, and maintaining comprehensive data platforms.
  • Proficiency with ETL concepts and tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factories.
  • Knowledge of workflow tools including Azure Logic Apps.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong capabilities in data visualization with tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, paired with stellar interpersonal skills.
  • A thorough understanding of the software engineering/development lifecycle.

Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
