Job Description
Publicis Sapient is seeking a Data Architect to join our vibrant team of forward-thinking innovators. Using your problem-solving creativity, you will design, structure, and build high-end technological solutions to address the most complex and challenging issues faced by our clients from a range of industries. Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and recommending design patterns and solutions for data platforms with a concentration on ETL, ELT, ALT, lambda, and kappa architectures, in collaboration with our clients.
- Defining SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs in partnership with clients, product owners, and engineers to deliver data-driven interactive experiences.
- Offering expertise, proof-of-concept, prototype, and reference implementations of architectural solutions for cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and edge-based data platforms.
- Contributing technical input to agile processes, such as defining epics, stories, and tasks to address issues and remove obstacles throughout client engagements.
- Creating and maintaining infrastructure-as-code for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments utilizing tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Helm, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Mentoring, supporting and managing team members.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in enterprise level data platforms involving implementation of end-to-end data pipelines.
- Practical experience with at least one of the leading public cloud data platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud).
- Experience with column-oriented database technologies (e.g., Big Query, Redshift, Vertica), NoSQL database technologies (e.g., DynamoDB, BigTable, Cosmos DB, etc.) and traditional database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Experience in building data pipelines and solutions for both streaming and batch integrations using tools/frameworks like Glue ETL, Lambda, Google Cloud DataFlow, Azure Data Factory, Spark, Spark Streaming, etc.
- Metadata definition and management via data catalogs, service catalogs, and stewardship tools such as OpenMetadata, DataHub, Alation, AWS Glue Catalog, Google Data Catalog.
- Test plan development and test programming using automated testing frameworks, data validation and quality frameworks, and data lineage frameworks.
- Data modeling, querying, and optimization for relational, NoSQL, timeseries, graph databases, data warehouses and data lakes.
- Data processing programming using SQL, DBT, Python, and similar tools.
- Proficiency in logical programming using Python, Spark, PySpark, Java, Javascript, and/or Scala.
- Designing cloud-native data platforms with a focus on streaming and event-driven architectures.
- Participation in integrated validation and analysis sessions of components and subsystems on production servers.
- Designing and implementing data ingest, validation and enrichment pipelines.
- Optimizing SDLC across workstreams within a solution.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Advantageous Attributes:
- Azure cloud services certification.
- Experience with code repositories and continuous integration.
- Understanding of development and project methodologies.
- Experience in setting up Monitoring, CI/CD, Optimization, Security, and Compliance.
Additional Information
Salary Range: $108,000 -$210,000
The range displayed represents a group of relevant scales currently in use at Publicis Sapient. The actual range for this role may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the position.
