About the Role

The Data Engineering Architect plays a crucial role in assessing and meeting the data needs of our vast enterprise. This involves:

• Designing and implementing data architectures, models, and structures in a federated user/departmental environment
• Developing ETL processes and ensuring efficient data flows from both EPIC and other systems
• Operationalizing strategies for the smooth delivery of software products and updates
• Leading data architecture developments that support a broad range of BI tools including Tableau, Crystal, and EPIC reporting products
• Managing major releases, updates, and monthly Epic production downtimes
• Providing ongoing project management and support across various data governance and integration initiatives

Key Responsibilities

The Data Engineering Architect will:

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive data strategies that enhance organizational capabilities
• Provide expert ETL design and implementation for building optimized data marts and warehouses
• Analyze and interpret data to meet project specific requirements
• Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of data standards
• Manage the integration of data from diverse sources, ensuring consistency and accessibility
• Facilitate the creation of impactful data visualizations and business intelligence solutions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, specifically in a healthcare setting
• Strong project management skills and experience
• Advanced certifications in IT specialties (to be obtained within 6 months of hiring)
