Your Mission

As a Data Engineer in the Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), you will contribute to developing a global value chain, sharing key business activities, resources, and expertise across geographical boundaries. Your role is instrumental in providing high-quality engineering and commissioning support to Business Units and Centers of Excellence worldwide, aligning with Hitachi Energy's Global Footprint strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Exhibit technical expertise in AI data analytics in a diverse team.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure such as SQL Warehouse, and Data Lakes on Cloud platforms (e.g., MS Azure, Databricks).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data lineage, definitions, and extraction methods.
• Write production-grade SQL and PySpark code to create a robust data architecture.
• Consolidate SQL databases from various sources for data cleaning and preparation for analytics and machine learning.
• Create professional dashboards and reports using data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Document data processes clearly to ensure reproducibility across projects.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and supporting your colleagues and the business.

Your Background

Qualifications:

• BE / BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience, including understanding of lakehouse architecture, data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration, monitoring, and star schema modeling.
• Proficient in Python/PySpark and SQL with at least 5 years of experience.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI and data visualization.
• 3 years of experience utilizing Azure-based environments such as Databricks, ADLS, and Azure Machine Learning for data engineering.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms.
• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new concepts outside your core competency.
• Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.
