Data Engineering Manager at Trainline

Lead an agile team of Data Platform Engineers in creating a state-of-the-art data lakehouse platform, utilizing AWS, Kafka, and modern cloud-native streaming technologies like Iceberg and Airflow. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will oversee the technical direction, enforce engineering excellence, and ensure efficient delivery with a strong focus on quality and DevOps growth. Inspire and guide your team towards enhancing their skills and making impactful contributions.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive leader with:

• Expertise in JVM technologies (Scala, Clojure, Java) and Python.
• Strong familiarity with data engineering essentials like Kafka, AWS S3, and data lakes.
• Proven experience in managing and technically leading data engineering teams.
• A solid track record in agile development and DevOps practices.
