Job Summary: Data Governance & Controls Associate Vice President (AVP)

The chosen candidate will be crucial in supporting the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) at MUFG Americas. You will manage and oversee the Report Inventory, Ownership, and Tiering Control which are essential components of our Integrated Control Framework for Data Management. Your efforts will ensure accuracy in our reporting inventories to meet internal and external demands successfully.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and streamline processes for report inventory and change control, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead the execution and ongoing refreshment of the report inventorying process.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across MUFG to enhance the quality and compliance of report metadata.
  • Support the automation of report inventory reviews and contribute to documentation and audit preparation activities.
  • Identify improvements in current processes and contribute to the enhancement of the overall data governance framework.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, or a related field, complemented by at least five years of experience in data governance or management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of data governance tools like Collibra will be advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $110K - $134K, dependent on expertise, knowledge, and location.
