Job Summary

The Data Governance & Controls Vice President (VP) role is pivotal in supporting MUFG’s Chief Data Officer through the maintenance of a robust Report Inventory, Ownership, and Tiering Control framework in the Americas. This role is essential for aligning our data management practices with internal and external standards to support risk and regulatory frameworks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of report definitions, tiering classifications, and process requirements for comprehensive report inventory management.
  • Executing inventory processes to ensure the currentness and accuracy of report data across various business lines and functions.
  • Performing quality assurance and compliance checks on report metadata.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to implement improvements and enhancements to data governance protocols and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in data governance, quality management, or related fields.
  • In-depth understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, and Collibra.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary for this position ranges between $130K and $155K, based on experience and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and paid leave, aligning with our commitment to supporting our colleagues’ well-being.
