Job Responsibilities
As a Data Governance SME at LMI, you will play a key role in crafting and deploying information management processes and ensuring adherence to enterprise policies and standards. Your responsibilities include:
- Executing projects to exceed customer expectations, including project financial management and resource development.
- Analyzing current data architectures to recommend future enhancements.
- Supporting executive-level briefings on data solution architecture and design.
- Developing and sustaining data standards and governance policies.
- Communicating across various data roles to resolve governance issues.
- Leveraging data governance tools to streamline processes and workflows.
- Assisting in the development of data-centric applications and integration services.
- Utilizing big data and cloud technologies to improve data delivery accuracy.
Key Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Strong background in data governance, including metadata management and data quality management.
- Working knowledge of databases and database structures.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in data analysis or related fields, with at least 3 years in project management.
- Proficiency in evaluating business requirements and recommending data-centric solutions.
- Experience with data architecture, data warehousing, and data operations.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, team-oriented environments.
- Demonstrated continuous learning and independent decision-making capabilities.
- Strong customer communication skills for feedback, execution updates, and troubleshooting.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Relevant technology or data management certifications.
- Hands-on experience with leading data governance and metadata management software/tools.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Secret clearance.
