Job Description

As part of Vattenfall’s dynamic Analytics Hub in our rapidly expanding Distribution Sweden Business Unit, we are seeking a skilled Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our virtual international team. This team consists of data engineers, analysts, and scientists organized into four agile scrum teams. In this role, you will work closely with other IT experts and business stakeholders to create innovative analytics solutions that support our business objectives using the Microsoft Azure technology stack.

Your Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and maintaining end-to-end analytics solutions that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
  • Designing and managing the infrastructure for large scale data processing and analysis.
  • Building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.
  • Documenting engineering processes and ensuring data security, availability, and integrity.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uphold data governance and quality standards.
  • Engaging in IT processes improvement and community meetings within Vattenfall.

Location: Opportunities available in Hamburg, Berlin, Katowice, and Gliwice.

Qualifications

Who Are You?

Are you someone with a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field, backed by at least 2 years of experience in data infrastructure engineering? Do you have hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure services, including Databricks, along with a strong command of C#, SQL, Python, Apache Spark, and PySpark? If you are also familiar with Git, CI/CD principles, API development, and data warehousing/modeling concepts, then you are the candidate we are looking for!
