Work Environment

The chosen candidate will work at an MUFG office or client sites for four days a week, with one day dedicated to remote work. Our recruitment team will provide additional details.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Data Integration Engineer with expertise in designing and implementing data warehouses and data marts for large financial institutions. This role demands proficiency in utilizing Informatica and database technologies like DB2 and Oracle. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to analyze requirements, estimate, plan, and design solutions. Additionally, you will work with both onsite and offshore resources to develop complex workflows and mappings using the AWS cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform, Python, Informatica ETL, and Unix shell scripts to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Develop complex Informatica ETL mappings and workflows for large-scale data integration projects within the banking industry.
  • Design, code, test, schedule, and implement projects using ETL or ELT.
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Perform design and code reviews and resolve service and problem tickets.
  • Assess business, technical, quality, and security requirements to achieve intended outcomes in accordance with Bank standards.
  • Maintain complex ETL mappings, workflows, and Unix shell scripts in data warehouse environments.
  • Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, disaster recovery, and regression testing.
  • Handle user inquiries, provide production support, and conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, flowcharts, and data documentation.
  • Communicate with business users to evaluate and understand project objectives and scope.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of technical software development experience with enterprise data warehouses and ETL using Informatica.
  • 5 years of experience in the banking or financial services domain.
  • Expertise in Unix Shell Scripting, relational and dimensional database design, and batch job scheduling using Cisco Tidal Enterprise Scheduler or Autosys.
  • 1 year of experience involving core banking products (loans, deposits, treasury), Python scripting, HIVE, or AWS.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent formal education and experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $134K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also qualify for discretionary performance-based bonuses and incentive compensation.
