Who We Are: At State Street, our Technology Platform Engineering & Operations division is on the forefront of innovation and efficiency in the financial services industry. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and analytical Finance and Data Specialist to spearhead our new FinOps team, enhancing how we manage and analyze our financial data systems.

About the Role:

As the VP of Data Management & Administration, you will play a crucial role in developing our financial management strategies. Your responsibilities will span across various critical areas:

  • Financial management support including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Development of charging mechanisms and strategies for cost recovery (chargeback / show back).
  • Operating model strategy enhancements, ensuring alignment across the organization.
  • Driving continuous cost optimization and spend management.
  • Enhancing spend transparency and developing effective cloud spend management techniques.
  • Guiding the evolution of tagging strategies for efficient resource allocation and management.
  • Conducting comprehensive maturity assessments to continually refine our financial operations.
  • Establishing and tracking high-priority KPIs for organizational financial health.
  • Selection and implementation of tools to support ongoing FinOps initiatives.
  • Collaborative engagement with global teams on key business initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Financial Services or Software industry, with a preference for roles in Business Analysis or Finance.
  • Proven expertise in building data ingestion frameworks, data catalogs, and analytical frameworks.
  • Experience in creating impactful cost and savings dashboards, particularly for executive reporting.
  • Strong competencies in Tableau, Power BI, or similar cloud financial analytics/reporting tools.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • A self-motivated and adaptable professional attitude.
  • Strong relationships-building skills across varying levels of an organization.

Salary & Benefits:

For this full-time position, we offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $167,500 annually, depending on experience and location. This salary range is specific to the primary location mentioned, and variations may apply based on the candidate's actual work location.
