The Position: Data Management & Governance Specialist

As part of the Data & Analytics Chapter within Integrated Informatics at Roche, we are dedicated to building excellence in next-generation data and analytics capabilities. Our team focuses on Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Management & Governance. We extract value from data—from Discovery to Insights.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead and identify information value opportunities through strategic discussions with Senior Business and IT Leaders, providing decision support.
• Act as the Informatics representative to define Information and Data Strategies aligned with overall Business Strategy.
• Identify areas for improvement in information flows, automation, and representation, advising project teams on best practices and implementation.
• Enhance the quality of enterprise data assets through effective information design.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritizing and adjusting based on changing priorities and market dynamics.
• Transform requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and mockups guiding the development process.
• Follow up on the resolution of incidents, keeping customers informed.

Who You Are

You bring to the table:

• 5+ years in data strategy and data governance, preferably in a consulting environment, with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
• Focus on enterprise information solutions: master data management, metadata management, business intelligence, data interoperability, data analysis, data quality, and data integration.
• Understanding of the Data Mesh paradigm.
• Exhibit an Agile mindset.
• Knowledge of database structures, data models, and data standards.
• Ability to create advanced SQL queries and work with REST APIs through tools like Postman.
