The Data Management group is a key component of the Chief Technology Office within Global Technology at JPMorgan Chase. We aim to deliver innovative data management products, services, and value-added solutions across the firm, facilitating AI/ML initiatives and providing market-leading capabilities. Our product operating model allows us to quickly and securely iterate, design, develop, and deliver exceptional outcomes to our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Solve complex cloud challenges by building robust cloud data solutions.
- Develop top-notch automation operating models to ensure stability, sustainability, and development speed.
- Implement acceptance tests to meet business goals and specifications.
- Create efficient integrations between on-premises enterprise systems and cloud data provider services.
- Collaborate with customers to provide comprehensive technology solutions to their business problems.
- Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Utilize Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools to enhance automation value.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to resolve basic complexity issues.
- Learn and apply methodologies for producing secure, stable code and systems.
- Contribute to a team culture focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in coding with Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud solutions in ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Web Scalability and High Availability Architecture (load balancing, scale out).
- Building Data Lakes using AWS and experience with AWS Glue, KMS, Firehose, EMR, Athena, Redshift, QuickSight, and Lake Formation.
- Federated query engines such as Starburst and Trino.
- Snowflake Database Architecture and Administration.
- ETL pipelines using SnowSQL and Snowpipe.
- Spark with Python or Scala and Snowflake.
- Kubernetes.
- RESTful API development.
- HashiCorp Terraform.
- Conducting code reviews and improving software engineering quality.
- Reviewing data architecture and developing detailed implementation designs.
- Working with PCI and sensitive data workloads.
- Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Emerging knowledge in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile technology.

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
