Data Management Strategy Director - Chief Data Office

Join J.P. Morgan’s Firmwide Chief Data Office (CDO) as an Executive Director in Data Management Strategy. Lead the Strategy and Execution team to define, articulate, and execute the CDO vision. Drive strategic initiatives for AI-ready data and efficient data risk management within JP Morgan.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate Chief Data Office vision and target state strategy, including actionable business plans.
  • Establish the scope and prioritization of data management initiatives.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and design thinking to address top strategic priorities.
  • Collect, synthesize, analyze, and present project data and findings.
  • Conduct creative analyses to identify issues and formulate recommendations.
  • Develop strategic presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Perform competitor and industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources.
  • Monitor industry trends and share insightful reports and analyses with the broader team and senior executives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Diverse problem solving experience from a premier management consulting firm.
  • Extensive experience within a banking division (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research, Consumer Banking) or an internal Strategy group within financial services.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture.
  • Outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related area.
  • MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program.
