About the Role

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Data Migration Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and deployment of a configuration-driven data migration framework on the Azure cloud platform. This robust framework will utilize Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Sparq, Python, and PowerBI to enable comprehensive data profiling and ensure seamless data migration processes, including extraction, transformation, and loading of data from legacy systems. The framework will also support business and technical data reconciliation to confirm successful data migration.

Your Opportunity

As a Data Migration Technical Lead, you will have two primary responsibilities: developing the data migration platform and overseeing its application in multiple client engagements. Your key duties include:

• Leading the design and development of a configuration-driven data migration framework on Azure.
• Collaborating with the offshore engineering team to enhance the data migration platform.
• Defining and implementing best practices for architecture, development, and deployment.
• Ensuring the platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Providing support and guidance to Data Migration Engineers during engagements.
• Overseeing data migration phases including Data Acquisition, Cleansing, Mapping, Transformation, Validation, Load, and reconciliation.
• Engaging with internal and client data migration teams to gather requirements and deliver customized solutions.

Your Experience

• Proven experience as an Azure Data Migration Specialist in an enterprise-scale environment.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL processes, data modeling, and building data pipelines in Data Factory/Azure Synapse/Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on experience with complex data warehouse implementations using Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
• Ability to build resilient, tested data pipelines with embedded data quality monitoring (DataOps).
• Knowledge of data lake and data warehousing solutions and design principles.
• Experience in Agile working environments and using Scrum project management.

Desired Skills

• Certification in Azure or related technologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices for data protection and compliance.
• Experience with implementing COTS or SaaS-based applications like SAP, Oracle ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
