Job Description

As a Data Modeler Architect at Sopra Steria, you will:

• Develop and maintain the AS-IS data architecture, identify obsolete data entities, and create and own decommissioning plans.
• Create and manage CRUD Matrix (Create, Read, Update, Delete).
• Establish and maintain the TO-BE domain-focused data architecture and roadmap to meet strategic goals.
• Develop and create conceptual, contextual, logical, and physical data models to support data usage.
• Document data architecture/models using data catalogues and other tools.
• Document data flows to understand system data movement and facilitate impact analysis during changes.
• Guide the development of data standards, guidelines, processes, and architectures for data modeling and design.
• Support the creation of Business Service/Information diagrams detailing key data entities for main business services.
• Enhance business performance through enterprise information solutions, such as master data management (MDM) for Product, metadata management, and data integration.
• Analyze dependencies between programs and support the Enterprise Data Architect in building dependency models.
• Design data governance and compliance requirements to manage data entities throughout their lifecycle.

Total Experience Required: 8-10 years

Qualifications

• Strong skills in relational database management systems (RDMS), particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience documenting data architecture/models with tools like Erwin, SQL Doc, or similar.
• Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Exhibits visionary leadership and is an effective team player.
• Sound understanding of the software delivery lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders at all levels effectively.
• Experience working with business resources.
• Capable of simplifying complexity for quality decision-making.
• Recognizes limitations and proactively seeks support to resolve issues beyond current capabilities.
• Embraces a start-up mentality, challenges the status quo, and values continuous improvement.
