Data Modeling Sr. Supervisor at Orange Egypt

Orange Egypt is seeking a skilled and driven Data Modeling Sr. Supervisor to enhance our Big Data capabilities and drive innovation in data management. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in data engineering to cultivate optimized data models, facilitating efficient access and analysis for business users, data analysts, and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

Optimize Data Models: Design scalable and rich data models to maximize the value extraction from the company’s extensive datasets.

Data Ingestion: Identify patterns and build frameworks for efficient data ingestion into our Data Lake, along with performance tuning to enhance throughput.

Data Management Innovations: Research and integrate new data acquisition methods and technologies, enhancing the technical capabilities of our existing Hadoop cluster.

Collaborative Development: Work closely with data engineers, architects, and IT team members to align on and achieve project goals.

Job Specifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Systems) or Computer Science.

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, with a solid track record of building data pipelines and systems. Experience with Hadoop technologies like Spark, data flow tools such as Nifi and Airflow, proficiency in SQL, and familiarity with CI/CD and Agile/Scrum frameworks are essential. Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
