About this job:

We are hiring a Data Operations Analyst to join our Life Operations and Administration team. This role can be either in Dublin or Paris and will report to the Data Operations Team Lead – Life & Health, EMELA.

The Data Operations team's responsibility is to process, monitor, and analyze bordereaux data received from our cedents. The candidate will work closely with various business users on data-related activities, such as transforming and processing data in our application. This data serves different functions for financial, actuarial studies, and reporting purposes.

 

About the role:

In this position, you will be in charge of managing the data for Life & Health treaties and regularly engaging with stakeholders from other departments.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure data quality:  the received data must be complete, accurate, consistent, and as per the treaty agreements' requirements
  • Extract and load data into our system, escalating and resolving any discrepancies with cedants
  • Perform detailed analysis of a cedant's data and reconcile it with treaty conditions and accounts
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure they can readily access the analyzed data
  • Actively monitor client accounts and produce summary reports that highlight trends and issues
  • Take part in projects or other ad hoc duties as necessary

Qualifications

About you:

You have:

  • 0-3 years of experience in a similar role or in Life re/insurance Accounting. Profound general re/insurance knowledge is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or an equivalent field (BAC+3)
  • Proficiency in Access and Excel. Knowledge of Business Objects or R is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage and communicate at all levels
  • Possess the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
