Role Description

We are looking for a Data Operations Associate (Chinese Speaker) to join our STR Data Operations Team in Singapore. Reporting to the Data Operations Manager, this role will focus on enhancing data automation and maintaining current data feeds for the APAC region. Responsibilities include data loading, checking, and report delivery for our benchmarking product. Additionally, you will support client-related administrative tasks and ensure data accuracy in collaboration with STR’s global data contacts and internal team members.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills. The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, innovative environment is crucial for success in this role. Strong interpersonal skills and commercial acumen are essential, as the role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain data automation and current data feeds for the APAC region.
  • Communicate with local potential Property Management Systems (PMS) to establish data automation.
  • Grow existing historical data submission with segmentation details and revenue data.
  • Increase forward data sample from existing clients.
  • Monitor data submissions (daily, weekly, and monthly) for historical and forward data.
  • Perform data quality checks, resolving discrepancies with data providers.
  • Communicate professionally with properties, clients, and industry professionals regarding STR/CoStar’s policies and guidelines.
  • Support data automation for clients using various technology vendors.
  • Identify new opportunities for automated data transfer with new technology vendors.
  • Manage workflow requests and assist clients in setting up data delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and news that may affect the data.
  • Adhere to STR’s and CoStar’s standards and guidelines for data confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, data, business management, or finance.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, with Japanese as a bonus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, disparate data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience handling urgent requests while meeting other project deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and focus are critical.
