Position Overview

At BlackBerry, we are offering an exciting Student Internship position for a 4-month term based in Portland, OR. We are searching for ambitious student engineers who are eager to develop their skills in cloud technologies and data management.

Job Description

As a Data Operations Student Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on critical projects involving Infrastructure as Code (IAC) upgrades and enhancing production pipeline solutions. Our projects leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Elasticsearch, AWS Opensearch, MS SQL Server, and AWS RDS. You will collaborate with AWS experts and implement real-life solutions that support our extensive customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrading and implementing new modules within our Terraform codebase.
• Configuring and deploying Elasticsearch, and transitioning legacy systems to OpenSearch.
• Managing configurations across an extensive MS SQL Cluster with over 80 nodes.
• Applying advanced monitoring tools like Prometheus to oversee our production infrastructure.

Who We Are Looking For

Required Skills:

• Solid programming skills in Python, Go, or T-SQL.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
• Familiarity with Linux administration.
